Technical consulting

Engineering the right fabric for the job.

A textile decision made early, the staple, the weave, the weight, quietly governs how a garment wears, washes and lasts for years. We bring that judgement to the table before the order is placed.

What we advise on

Decisions taken at the loom.

Six questions decide whether cloth performs. We answer each one with material evidence, not opinion, before a single roll is cut.

01

Fabric and staple length

We match long or short staple cotton to the wear, the wash and the budget, so the cloth is chosen for the job rather than the brochure.

02

Weave and weight for purpose

Poplin, twill, drill or satin. The right structure and grams per metre decide how a garment moves, breathes and holds its shape.

03

Wash and abrasion durability

We specify to survive industrial laundering and daily friction, then test against the cycle count your fleet actually runs.

04

Colour-fastness

Brand colours that hold through bleach, heat and sunlight. We dye and finish to lock the shade in, not let it leach out.

05

Sustainability

Lower-impact fibre choices, longer service life and less reorder. The most sustainable garment is the one you do not replace.

06

Specification for tenders

Clear, defensible documentation: fibre, weave, weight, finish and test data, written so it passes the audit on paper as well as on the floor.

How it works

From brief to bolt of cloth.

Four steps, owned end to end. Because we spin, weave, cut and inspect under one roof, there is no gap between what we recommend and what comes off the loom.

  1. 01

    Consult

We listen to the brief, the floor it has to survive and the standard it has to meet.

  2. 02

    Sample

We weave and finish prototypes, then put them through the wash and wear they will face.

  3. 03

    Specify

We write the spec sheet: fibre, weave, weight, finish and the test data behind each line.

  4. 04

    Supply

We manufacture to that exact specification under one roof, so what we advise is what we build.

Bring us the brief

Tell us the job. We will specify the cloth.

Send the garment, the floor it serves and the standard it must meet. We will recommend the cotton, weave and finish, then cost it. Most quotations return within two business days.
